The present invention relates to a beam forming device, a probe including the same, an ultrasonic diagnosing device, and a method for controlling the same capable of improving quality of a video in an interest area by controlling time delays of an analog beam former and a digital beam former in a 2D transducer of the ultrasonic diagnosing device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the beam forming device performs beam forming for ultrasonic waves received through an ultrasonic transducer of a 2D array. The beam forming device comprises: the analog beam former； an analog-to-digital converter； the digital beam former； and a beam former controlling unit. The analog beam former delays a time of an analog signal received in a sub array including one or more arrays of the transducer. The analog-to-digital converter (ADC) converts the analog signal into a digital signal. The digital beam former performs the beam forming for the digital signal. The beam former controlling unit calculates an initial delay time based on a reference image point corresponding to the interest area； and determines a starting point of an S/H circuit included in the analog beam former based on the initial delay time.개시된 발명의 일 측면은 초음파 진단 장치의 2 차원 트랜스듀서(2-D transducer)에서 아날로그 빔포머와 디지털 빔포머의 시간 지연을 조정하여 관심 영역에서 영상의 질을 상승시키는 빔포밍 장치, 이를 포함하는 프로브, 초음파 진단 장치 및 그 제어방법을 제공한다.개시된 발명의 일 측면에 따른 빔포밍 장치는 2차원 어레이의 초음파 트랜스듀서를 통해 수신되는 초음파를 빔포밍하는 빔포밍 장치에 있어서, 상기 트랜스듀서의 적어도 하나의 어레이를 포함하는 서브 어레이에서 수신되는 아날로그 신호의 시간을 지연하는 아날로그 빔포머； 아날로그 신호를 디지털 신호로 변환하는 ADC(Analog-to-Digital Converter)； 상기 디지털 신호를 빔포밍하는 디지털 빔포머； 및 관심 영역에 해당하는 기준 영상점을 기초로 초기 지연 시간을 산출하고, 상기 초기 지연 시간을 기초로 상기 아날로그 빔포머에 포함된 S/H회로의 시작 지점을 결정하는 빔포머 제어부；를 포함한다.
