PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary napkin which enables the rear flap section to have a wide area and makes twisting or turning up hard to occur in the rear flap section by the movement of the body.
SOLUTION: The rear flap section 21 is formed on the rear side of a folding-back flap section 11 which is wound around the crotch section of an underwear. In the rear flap section 21, a maximum width section 21c is located on the front side, and has a shape in which the width dimension gradually becomes smaller as the rear edge section 1b comes closer. Since the maximum width section 21c is located on the front side, the movement of the section of the maximum width section 21c becomes smaller, and twisting and turning up become hard to occur on the rear flap section 21. Also, since the maximum width section 21c is located on both of the right and left sides of a rear main absorbing region 40D, and the insides of the maximum width sections 21c are firmly fixed to the underwear by a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 52, the rear main absorbing region 40D is hard to move under a state being confronted with the crevice of the buttocks.
