PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defibrillation system capable of reliably performing defibrillation while reducing a burden on a patient.SOLUTION: A defibrillation system includes an electrode part mounted on the heart or the body surface for applying electric energy to the heart, a defibrillator for generating electric energy based on a predetermined defibrillation waveform, and a lead for electrically connecting the electrode part and the defibrillator. The defibrillation waveform has a first waveform part W1, and a second waveform W2 whose application is made immediately after the first waveform part W1, which generates a load voltage larger than that of the first waveform part W1, and whose application time is shorter than that of the first waveform part.
