An outlet (4) for a pouch (1) in a urostomy appliance is provided. The outlet has a valve with a valve housing (5) and a valve stem (6) that is movable in the longitudinal direction with respect to the valve housing. In a position of the valve stem, the stem can freely rotate with respect to the valve housing, so as to prevent kink and obstructions in a tube connecting the valve with a collecting bag.
