Disclosed are cellulose acetate particles, the cellulose acetate particles have an average particle size of 80 nm or more and 100 µm or less, a sphericity of 0.7 or more and 1.0 or less, and a surface smoothness of 80% or more and 100% or less, and the cellulose acetate has a total degree of acetyl substitution of 0.7 or more and 2.9 or less.
