PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management server for a remote monitoring system which is configured to communicate with a remote monitoring terminal device which acquires an activation date by utilizing a GPS satellite system at start-up and in which, even in the case where the remote monitoring terminal device cannot acquire the activation date because of a defect of communication or the like with a GPS satellite, the activation date can be obtained.SOLUTION: A management server 130 for a remote monitoring system 100 is configured to communicate with a remote monitoring terminal device 200 which acquires an activation date by utilizing a GPS satellite system at start-up.
