A pharmaceutical composition in the form of instant vaginal microbeads containing: (a) a therapeutically effective amount of a drug active in vaginal administration； (b) a polymer excipient that has the dual action of acting as a binder and also as a bioadhesive substance； ( c) sugar alcohol, saccharide or a mixture thereof； and (d) a disintegrant； characterized in that said pharmaceutical composition rapidly disintegrates when placed in a vaginal cavity of a patient or subject , forming a viscous suspension containing a drug, which is quickly, widely distributed, covering the vaginal mucosa. 2. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1, characterized in that said therapeutically effective drug is selected from the group consisting of antifungal agents, antibacterial agents, antimicrobials, antiviral agents, anti-infective agents, spermicides, steroids, hormones, analgesics, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs cardiovascular agents, calcium channel blockers, beta blockers, antiarrhythmic drugs, antihypertensive drugs, diuretics, non-specific, coronary, peripheral and cerebral vasodilators, anti-migraines, anti-erectile dysfunction drugs, central nervous system stimulants, sedatives, hypnotics, immunosuppressants, muscle relaxants, oral drugs that show significant first-pass effects, β-adrenergic agonists �1.
