PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition comprising a certain phosphate binder, the phosphate binder comprising particles having a certain particle size distribution particularly adapted for preparation of improved tablets and other pharmaceutical compositions.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition comprises a phosphate binder. The phosphate binder contains particles having a particle size distribution where at least 40% of the particles have a particle size in the range from 4 to 200 μm and d50 is in the range from 30 μm to 120 μm.
