PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stem cell culture substrates with which embryonic stem cells (ES cells) and induced pluripotent cells (iPS cells) being tools for regenerative medicine can be efficiently cultured while retaining the undifferentiated state, where the substrates are stably provided in a low molecular state with little production cost.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a stem cell adhesive peptide having binding activity to dystroglycan, the peptide comprising a specific amino acid sequence derived from human laminin-511E8 or an amino acid sequence with deletion, substitution, insertion or addition of one or several amino acids in the specific amino acid sequence.
