PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone prosthetic material which sufficiently accelerates the uniform and rapid growth of osteoblast and can be used in safety.SOLUTION: A bone prosthetic material 10 comprises a fiber entangled body in a plate or block shape made of fibrous calcium phosphate. The prosthetic material 10 is embedded below mucous membrane or mucoperiosteum at a bone defective part or a tooth removal socket in alveolar ridge for use. At least a part of the external surface (surface layer part 11) of the fiber entangled body is smoothed. The front side of the bone prosthetic material 10 is protected by the hard surface layer part 11.
