PURPOSE: A hair setting agent and a composition containing the same are provided to enable natural hair styling without stickiness. CONSTITUTION: A hair setting agent contains copolymers of chemical formula 1 containing: 1-80 weight parts of (meth)acrylate-based monomer unit(A and B)； 1-20 weight parts of monomer unit(C) containing carboxyl groups； and 0.1-5 weight parts of monomer unit(D) with polysiloxane groups. The (meth)acrylate-based monomer includes methyl(meth)acyrlate, butyl(meth)acrylate, isobutyl(meth)acrylate, lauryl(meth)acrylate, palmityl(meth)acrylate, or stearyl(meth)acrylate. The monomer containing carboxyl groups is acrylic acid, methacylic acid, or itaconic acid.본 발명은 정발제 및 이러한 정발제를 함유하는 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 특정 중합성 비닐 단량체들이, 바람직하게는 이소파라핀 탄화수소와 같은 탄화수소 용제 하에서, 공중합된 아크릴레이트계 정발제를 이용하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따른 오일상에 용해되어 있는 정발제를 함유(바람직하게는 세테아릴 알콜(Cetearyl Alcohol)을 추가로 함유)한 유화 제형(O/W) 헤어 린스 조성물은 모발에 도포 후 물로 헹구면 오일에 용해되어 있는 정발제가 오일과 함께 모발에 접착되며, 손에 끈적임 없이 부드러우면서 높은 세팅 효과로 볼륨 있는 자연스러운 헤어 스타일링 기능을 제공한다.
