PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam aerosol for external use on the skin which can jet a cosmetic blended with a water-soluble chemical and ethanol such as a skin care cosmetic as a propellant while being foamed.SOLUTION: The foam aerosol for external use on the skin uses a composition containing (A) 0.1 to 5.0 mass% of an anionic thickener obtained by bringing the mixture of prescribed water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomers into polymerization reaction, (B) a water-soluble chemical and (C) ethanol as a stock solution, and uses carbon dioxide as the propellant.
