The endosite cannula is designed to perform an improved and more effective pap smear test. The endosite cannula has a proximal portion and a distal portion. The proximal portion can include a fitting that connects to a user-driven instrument such as a syringe. The distal portion can include a corkscrew feature that facilitates movement of the cannula through dense tissue. The distal portion may further have a plurality of holes that aspirate mucus and reduce the risk of trauma or perforation.
