PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a planting machine and a compulsory tilt mechanism when the planting machine is lowered tods a sloping ground.SOLUTION: The riding type transplanter is provided with: the planting machine 3 connected with a rear part of a travel machine 1 so as to freely go up and down and freely tilt right and left the compulsory inclination mechanism 19 that compulsorily changes the right and left tilt posture of the planting machine 3 to the travel machine 1 by the power of a horizontal control motor 15 a horizontal control means that controls the drive of the horizontal control motor 15 so that the planting machine 3 maintains the horizontal posture and a stand device 23 that is provided for the planting machine 3 in a changeable condition between a stand posture and a non-stand posture, and is in the stand posture when the planting machine 3 is lowered to the ground.
