The present invention concerns the use of olive fruit extract in the reduction of body- mass index and visceral fat in overweight subjects. A study has, in particular, shown that with the administration of an olive fruit extract with a daily dose of at least 10 mg hydroxytyrosol, the body-mass index and visceral fat can be reduced in overweight subjects, in particular women.La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'un extrait d'olives dans la réduction de l'indice de masse corporelle et de la graisse viscérale chez des sujets en surpoids. Une étude a, en particulier, démontré qu'avec l'administration d'un extrait d'olive avec une dose quotidienne d'au moins 10 mg d'hydroxytyrosol, l'indice de masse corporelle et la graisse viscérale peuvent être réduits chez des sujets en surpoids, en particulier des femmes.
