PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially easy production method of an ionic liquid consisting of a wide variety of cation and anion combination.SOLUTION: A production method of an ionic liquid represented by the formulas (18), (21) or the like comprises a step of reacting each ammonium salt of corresponding sulfate ester, phosphate ester and sulfonic acid with a nitrogen-containing compound such as N,N-diethylethanolamine, N-ethylethanolamine and 1-isobutyl-2-methylimidazole or the like.【課題】工業的に簡便な、多種多様なカチオンおよびアニオンの組み合わせからなるイオン液体の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】下式(18)、(21)等で表されるイオン液体の製造方法であって、対応する硫酸エステル、リン酸エステル、スルホン酸の各アンモニウム塩と、Ｎ，Ｎ－ジエチルエタノールアミン、Ｎ－エチルエタノールアミン、１－イソブチル－２－メチルイミダゾール等の窒素含有化合物とを反応させる工程を含む、イオン液体の製造方法。【選択図】なし
