PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solubilizer in which polyglycerol fatty acid ester and alkylpolyglucoside are used and which can be applied to pharmaceuticals and cosmetics and can give a solubilizing composition with high transparency in which an oil soluble substance is finely dispersed without using a specific emulsifying machine even if a large quantity of an oil soluble substance is compounded.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a solubilizer containing as essential ingredients a polyglycerol fatty acid ester (A) obtained by esterifying a fatty acid selected from fatty acids having 6 to 22 carbon atoms and polyglycerol with an average degree of polymerization of 5 to 20 and an alkylpolyglucoside (B) having an alkyl group of glycosidically linked alcohol having 8 to 16 carbon atoms.
