PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroponic cultivation apparatus suitable for not only small-scale hydroponic cultivation in a general household but also large-scale hydroponic cultivation in agriculture, and a plant planting method using the same. SOLUTION: The hydroponic cultivation devices 200A to 200C are configured such that a plant seedling 9 or the like in a growth pot prepared in advance is taken out from the growth pot and cultivated in a tank 205 filled with a culture solution. The tank 205 is made of an extraction method polystyrene foam and can shield the outside of the tank 205 from light. As a result, even in a harsh outdoor environment, the deterioration of the tank can be suppressed to prolong the life of the tank, and the device can be lightweight, have excellent heat insulation and water resistance, and can be inexpensive. As a result, it is suitable not only for small-scale hydroponics in general households but also for large-scale hydroponics in agriculture.
