PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image correction device and an image correction method, having versatility in which a honeycomb pattern of a fiber scope comprising a fiber bundle is independent of the kind of the fiber scope, and capable of suppressing the deterioration in information of an image to the minimum.SOLUTION: The image correction method comprises: steps of reducing the honeycomb pattern in an input image, which comprises the honeycomb pattern and has been propagated through a fiber bundle, by performing blur processing that uses smoothing with a digital filter computation and of enhancing the contour of the object, which is captured in the input image and has been blurred by the blur processing, by performing contour enhancement processing on the blurred image on which blur processing is performed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】ファイババンドルにより構成されたファイバスコープの画像における網目模様を、ファイバスコープの種類によらない汎用性を有し、かつ画像の情報を劣化を最小限に抑えることが可能な画像補正装置及び画像補正方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の画像補正方法は、ファイババンドルを伝搬してきた網目模様を含む入力画像に対し、デジタルフィルタ演算を用いた平滑化によるぼかし処理を行うことで前記網目模様を低減し、前記ぼかし処理を行ったぼかし画像に対し輪郭強調処理を行うことで、前記入力画像に写っている被写体の前記ぼかし処理によりぼかされた輪郭を強調させる、ステップを含む。【選択図】図1
