PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image detector, which is small, excellent in productivity, and also excellent in moisture resistance while preventing generation of image defects.
SOLUTION: The radiation image detector has: a scintillator panel where at least a first substrate, a first adhesive layer, a second substrate, and a scintillator layer are laminated in order and an output substrate having a photoelectric conversion element, and the scintillator panel and the output substrate are stuck firmly or bonded. In the surface-direction areas to dispose the layers of the scintillator panel, the area to dispose the first substrate encompasses the area to dispose the layer of the photoelectric conversion element, and the first substrate, the first adhesive layer, the second substrate, and the scintillator layer are covered with a moisture-resistant protective layer. In the manufacturing method, the moisture-resistant protective layer is provided after forming the scintillator panel.
