Disclosed are compositions for controlling plant disease comprising an acetamide compound of formula (1) and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of tolclofos-methyl, metalaxyl and mefenoxam. Examples of compounds of formula (1) include 2-[2-(2,5-dimethylphenoxymethyl)phenyl]-2- methoxy-N-methylacetamide. Further disclosed is a method for controlling plant diseases which comprises said composition, and a plant seed treated with effective amounts of said composition.
