A surgical clip applier (100) includes a handle assembly (110) having a housing (118), a trigger (114), and an advancing mechanism supported in the housing (118) and being actuatable by the trigger (114). An elongated tube assembly (200) extends from the housing (118). A first shaft (202) is slidably disposed within the elongated tube assembly (200) and defines a surface portion (203). A second shaft (215) is disposed through an outer surface of the elongated tube assembly (200) and is in operative engagement with the surface portion (203) of the first shaft (202).
