PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type absorbent article easily suppressing leakage of excreta at an abdominal side and a back side.SOLUTION: In an underpants type absorbent article (1) which comprises an absorbent body (10), a front side belt part (20), and a rear side belt part (30), the front side belt part (20) and the rear side belt part (30) are connected in both end parts (2) in a left and right direction so as to form a waist opening (BH). The absorbent body (10) is provided with a pair of leakage preventing wall parts (50) capable of being erected at the skin side of a wearer from both sides in the left and right direction.
