The present invention relates to an endoscope which reduces repulsion or pain felt by a subject when inserting imaging equipment into the subject such as the vagina of a woman, facilitates expansion inside the subject, and firmly maintains an expanded state inside the subject. According to the present invention, the endoscope comprises: a photographing unit； a lighting unit arranged around the photographing unit； a support tube to support the photographing unit and the lighting unit； a traction tube to be slid in a longitudinal direction of the support tube； a plurality of spreading plates which are radially arranged on a circumference of a front end of the support tube, enclose the photographing unit and the lighting unit in a streamlined shape, and are connected to the traction tube to allow front ends thereof to be spread as the traction tube is towed； and a spread maintaining unit connected to the support tube and the traction tube to maintain a spread state of the plurality of spreading plates.
