PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing assistance apparatus that outputs information in an image capturing device for capturing an image of an inside of an oral cavity, a scanner system including the image capturing assistance apparatus, and an image-capturing assistance method.SOLUTION: Provided is an image-capturing assistance apparatus 100 that assists in capturing of an image of teeth in an oral cavity. The image-capturing assistance apparatus 100 includes an input unit 1102, a determination unit 1130, an identification unit 1150, and an output unit 1103. The input unit 1102 inputs a teeth image in which teeth in the oral cavity are captured. The determination unit 1130 determines the kinds of the teeth on the basis of the teeth image input from the input unit 1102. The identification unit 1150 identifies the kind of a tooth which is the subject of image-capturing assistance on the basis of the kinds of the teeth determined by the determination unit 1130.
