There is a need for a medical support device that allows a medical device tobe positionedat any one of a multiplicity of angles and depth and allows the medical deviceto be securedin that position. Thus, a method and apparatus are disclosed for astabilization device formaintaining a position of a medical device relative to a body surface of apatient. Thestabilization device comprises a support portion that defines a groove forreceiving themedical device. The groove is structured to allow for positioning of themedical device at aplurality of angles relative to the body surface of the patient. The groovehas opposing wallportions for securing the medical device.
