PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical apparatus which allows easy manipulation and reduction in operation time.SOLUTION: A rotation sensor system is provided in a surgical apparatus having an outer tube 10, an inner rotating member rotatably disposed within the outer tube, and a handpiece 2 coupled to proximal ends of the outer tube and the inner rotating member. The rotation sensor system includes a magnetic member 50 provided on the inner rotating member near the proximal end of the inner rotating member, a magnetically permeable member 60 provided on the outer tube near the proximal end of the outer tube, and a sensor 70 provided on the handpiece to sense magnetic flux of the magnetically permeable member adjacent to the sensor. The sensed magnetic flux can be used to determine the rotational position of the inner rotating member relative to the outer tube. Such information can be used to control the position of a cutting member relative to cutting windows 30, 40 when a surgeon stops rotating the inner rotating member.【課題】操作が簡単で、施術時間を短縮できる手術装置を提供する。【解決手段】回転センサシステムは、外側チューブ１０、該外側チューブの内側に回転可能に配置される内側回転部材、および、外側チューブおよび内側回転部材の近位端に接続された持ち手部２を有する手術装置に設けられる。回転センサシステムは、内側回転部材の近位端の近傍において内側回転部材に設けられた磁気部材５０と、外側チューブの近位端の近傍において外側チューブに設けられた磁気透過性部材６０と、持ち手部に設けられるセンサ７０であって、当該センサに隣接する磁気透過性部材の磁束を検出するセンサとを有する。検出された磁束は外側チューブに対する内側回転部材の回転位置を決定するのに使用され得る。この情報は、外科医が内側回転部材の回転を停止させるとき切除ウインドウ３０、４０に対する切除部材の位置を制御するのに使用できる。【選択図】図３
