An apparatus (1) for application of a liquid medium to seedlings (2) is disclosed, wherein the seedlings comprises trunks extending in a vertical direction z and are arranged in rows in a culture vessel (3). The apparatus (1) comprising a first aligning means (4) movable in a first horizontal direction x and a displacement means arranged to provide a displacing movement between the culture vessel (3) and the first aligning means (4), wherein the first aligning means (4) is arranged to be inserted between the rows of the seedlings (2). The apparatus (1) further comprises an application means (5) arranged to deliver the liquid medium to the trunks of the seedlings (2), the application means (5) being movable in the vertical direction z. The application means (5) is arranged to deliver the liquid medium to the trunks of the seedlings (2) during a vertical movement along the trunks of the seedlings (2).
