PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a chemical polymerization catalyst that maintains high activity even used in an environment having a high water content, in a chemical polymerization catalyst which is easily handled and has a cured product free from discoloration and change of color and is obtained by combining an aryl borate compound with an acidic compound, a peroxide and a transition metal compound.SOLUTION: The chemical polymerization catalyst for dentistry includes an aryl borate compound such as tetraphenylboron triethanolamine salt etc., an acidic compound such as an acid group-containing polymerizable monomer etc., an inorganic peroxide such as peroxodisulfuric acid compound and a divalent copper compound such as cupric acetylacetonate. The curable composition for dentistry includes the chemical polymerization catalyst for dentistry and water.
