PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin barrier function improving agent which is highly safe and effective at the time of oral ingestion and skin absorption.SOLUTION: The skin barrier function improving agent of the invention contains Puerariae Flos processed products. The skin barrier function improving agent of the invention promotes an intercellular adhesion structure formation in the skin, particularly in the epidermis, specifically a tight junction formation by enhancing TRPV4 gene expression. As the Puerariae Flos processed products, Puerariae Flos extract is preferable.
