PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a medical guide wire using a stainless steel wire as a core wire, as technologies for appropriate conditions for improving the tensile strength characteristics of the core wire by focusing on the temperature and the tension strength characteristics of the core wire subjected to a high processing wire drawing.SOLUTION: The core wire is subjected to the high processing wire drawing with a whole cross sectional reduction rate as 90-97.6% by using an austenitic stainless steel wire treated with a solid solution procedure as the core wire. The mechanical strength characteristics of the core wire are improved by heat-treating the core wire at low temperature repetitively under appropriate conditions each time when the core wire is subjected to mechanical processing, and by a twisting processing under the low-temperature heat treatment, use of heat in forming a resin film for the core wire and by considering heat conductivity of the core wire, etc.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】 芯線にステンレス鋼線を用いた医療用ガイドワイヤにおいて、強加工伸線を行なった芯線の温度と引張強度特性に着目して、芯線の引張強度特性を向上させる好適条件としての技術課題である製造方法等を開示するものである。【解決手段】 芯線に固溶化処理したオーステナイトステンレス鋼線を用いて、総減面率が90%から97.6%の強加工の伸線加工を行い、芯線の各機械的加工毎に好適条件の低温熱処理を繰り返し用いることにより、そして又、低温熱処理下での捻回加工、芯線への樹脂被膜成形の熱利用、及び芯線の熱伝導性等を考慮して、芯線の機械的強度特性を向上させたことを特徴とする。【選択図】 図1
