Specifically, methods are provided for the isolation of Factor H from Fraction precipitates commonly discarded during the manufacture of commercial IgG therapeutics. Advantageously, the Factor H compositions prepared according to these methods have improved proteolytic profiles and reduced amidolytic activity. 56
