PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bird damage preventer which can surely prevent damage due to birds reaching a cable or equipment around the cable more certainly by freely changing its mounting posture, thereby effectively obstructing the access of birds to the cable.SOLUTION: This bird damage preventer 10, which arranges a member for obstructing the access of birds around the cable, is equipped with a fixing member 12 which is fixed to the cable 100, a rotating member 13 which is supported rotatably, in a direction along the periphery of the cable, by the fixing member, and an extended member 14 which is fixed at two or more points of the rotating member, in such a posture that it extends in a direction which separates from the rotating member.
