PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select visual targets having sizes other than a size displayed at a set examination distance and a plurality of types of visual targets by the switches of a controller and to use thereof for an examination.
SOLUTION: An visual target presentation instrument includes: a display for displaying an examination visual target a storage means for storing a large number of examination visual targets and a controller provided with a first visual target selection switch corresponding to a predetermined examination visual target stored in the storage means and a second visual target selection switch to which the examination visual targets stored in the storage means are optionally assigned. A switch setting means has an operation switch which displays a set image for assigning the examination visual target to the second visual target selection switch on the display and which assigns an optimal visual target selected from among the examination visual targets to the second visual target selection switch. When a selection signal of the second visual target selection switch is input, a display control means calls the examination visual target in the storage means on the basis of assignment information of the second visual target selection switch and displays thereof on the display.
