A motorised electric handtool for two hands like a hedge trimmer has two switches, one for each hand, connected so that the motor works only when both are closed and when, before the mains is connected, both switches are in the off-position. Furthermore both switches must be switched on within a certain time period of each other. The circuit has a logic unit connected to signal transmitters for the two switch positions located at the switches. The switches are mechanically coupled to a circuit breaker by the motor and mechanically coupled to each signal transmitter. The signal transmitters are integrated into the circuit breaker.
