PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent-portability, high-usability and safe cooler for a body, allowing acquisition of a satisfactory cold sense with an easy operation, and to provide a cooling method.SOLUTION: A cooling head 1 includes: a metallic cooling part 2 a base part 3 integrally formed with the cooling part 2, or fitted and mounted with the cooling part and a stem mounting part 4 integrally formed with the base part 3 or fitted and mounted with the base part, and mounted in a stem of an aerosol container. A cooler 12 is produced by mounting the cooling head 1 in the aerosol container 9. The stem of the aerosol container 9 descends through the stem mounting part 4 by depressing the cooling head 1, so that a liquefied gas inside the aerosol container 9 is jetted from a nozzle, and the cooling part 2 is cooled by latent heat of vaporization accompanying volatilization of the jetted liquefied gas. By bringing it into contact with a cooling target region, a body can be easily cooled, and the cooler is excellent in usability.
