The vagina (1) has two half shells (3a, 3b) that are positioned with respect to each other for forming a tubular rigid shell (3) opened at its two ends. Each half shell has interior adopted to form a half-sleeve, where two half-sleeves form a tubular housing (21) for receiving penis of an animal. The tubular housing is soft and elastically deformable in a radial direction. One of the half shells has a lateral opening for manually exerting radial pressure on the corresponding half sleeve.
