The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating a cut, containing an acai berry extract as an active ingredient. The present invention further relates to a health food or a cosmetic composition for ameliorating the cut. When wounds on skin are treated with a hot water extract of acai berry, the wounds are healed due to promoted mobility of surrounding cells, while expression of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) and type-1-procollagen which are genes associated with wound healing increases, thereby exhibiting rapid wound healing rates as well as inflammation improvement. Thus, the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention can be useful as a treatment agent for the cut.본 발명은 아사이베리 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 창상 치유용 약학 조성물, 개선용 화장료 조성물 또는 건강식품에 관한 것으로, 상기 아사이베리 열수추출물(ABWE)를 피부 상처에 처리하면 주위 세포의 이동을 촉진시켜 상처 부위의 치유를 돕고, 상처 치유와 관련된 유전자인 타입-1-프로콜라겐(type-1-procollagen) 및 금속단백분해효소-1(matrix metalloproteinase-1, MMP-1)의 발현을 증가시켜 빠른 상처 치유 효과를 보일 뿐만 아니라 염증 개선 효과를 보이므로 창상 치료제로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
