A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically effective cholinesterase inhibitor and a compound of Formula I: wherein X is CH or CH-CH, A is aryl or heteroaryl with 0, 1, 2 or 3 heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of N, S and O wherein A contains 0, 1, 2 or 3 substituents, each of which includes from 0 to 8 carbon atoms, from 0 to 3 oxygen atoms, from 0 to 3 halogen atoms, from 0 to 2 nitrogen atoms, from 0 to 2 sulfur atoms and from 0 to 24 hydrogen atoms. 2. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1, characterized in that A is selected from the group consisting of pyridinyl, thienyl, furyl, quinolinyl, methylphenyl and biphenyl. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the compound of Formula I is selected from the group consisting of ,,,,,,,, as well as enantiomers and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. The pharmaceutical composition according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cholinesterase inhibitor is selected from the group consisting of donepezil, galantamine and rivastigmine. A method for treating a cognitive disorder comprising administering to a person in need of such treatment a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically effective cholinesterase inhibitor and a compound of Formula I: wherein X is CH or CH — CH, A is aryl or heteroaryl with 0, 1, 2 or 3 heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of N, S and O, wherein A contains 0, 1, 2 or 3 substituents, each of which contains from 0 to 8 carbon atoms, from 0 to 3 oxygen atoms, from 0 to 3 halogen atoms , from 0 to 2 nitrogen atoms, from 0 to 2 sulfur atoms and from 0 d 24 vodoroda.6 atoms.
