To provide an electric fishing reel that enables highly precise water stop by a structure suppressing an increase of a contact loss of a sealing portion, and thereby can improve water proofing properties of a motor.SOLUTION: An electric fishing reel includes: a sun gear 11 provided at a motor rotation axis 41； multiple planetary gears 12 engaged with the sun gear 11, and provided around the sun gear 11 in a turning movement manner； a carrier 6 for supporting the multiple planetary gears 12, and rotating centering on the sun gear 11 with turning movement of the multiple planetary gears 12 to transmit rotational driving force to a spool； and a cylindrical motor case 44 for supporting the motor rotation axis 41, and fixing an enclosure 43 inside.
