According to the present invention, a walking assistance device is provided which is to be put on a leg of a user to assist walking of the user. The walking assistance device comprises a waist wearing belt including a pad member to be put on a waist side portion of the user, the waist wearing belt to be put around a waist of the user； a thigh link portion having an elongated shape and to be arranged on a side of a thigh of the user； and a waist joint portion configured to hold an upper end portion of the thigh link portion so that the thigh link portion swings in a front-rear direction of the user, the waist joint portion being mounted on the pad member of the waist wearing belt. The thigh link portion is configured to be elastically twisted around an axis along the elongated direction within an angle range of from +70° to -70°.
