Systems, devices and methods for integrating retractable or flexible circuits, including arrays of active devices for enhanced detection, diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities are presented. The present invention allows conformal sensing contact with the tissue of the subject, such as the inner wall of the lumen, or the brain, or the surface of the heart. Such direct conformal contact increases the accuracy of measurement and delivery of therapy.
