The present invention provides a tetomilast crystal that is industrially easily produced in a large volume. (1) a tetomilast hydrate crystal having a powder X-ray diffraction spectrum having characteristic peaks at 2¸ = 10.6°, 12.9°, 21.1°, 22.3° and 25.0°； (2) an anhydrous tetomilast type C crystal having a powder X-ray diffraction spectrum having characteristic peaks at 2¸ = 4.2°, 8.2°, 12.0°, 16.4°, 24.7° and 25.9°； (3) a tetomilast acetonitrile solvate crystal having a powder X-ray diffraction spectrum having characteristic peaks at 2¸ = 3.6°, 7.1°, 10.6°, 14.2° and 24.8°. These crystals are stable towards heat and moisture, and are also excellent in terms of the disintegration property and dissolution property of tablets. (1) 도 2 에 나타난 분말 X-선 회절 스펙트럼과 실질적으로 동일한 분말 X-선 회절 스펙트럼을 가지는 테토밀라스트 수화물 결정； (2) 도 4 에 나타난 분말 X-선 회절 스펙트럼과 실질적으로 동일한 분말 X-선 회절 스펙트럼을 가지는 무수 테토밀라스트 A 형 결정； (3) 도 8 에 나타난 분말 X-선 회절 스펙트럼과 실질적으로 동일한 분말 X-선 회절 스펙트럼을 가지는 무수 테토밀라스트 C 형 결정； (4) 도 10 나타난 분말 X-선 회절 스펙트럼과 실질적으로 동일한 분말 X-선 회절 스펙트럼을 가지는 테토밀라스트 아세토니트릴 용매화합물 결정； (5) 상기 무수 테토밀라스트 A 형 결정 및 무수 테토밀라스트 B 형 결정으로 이루어진 혼합물. 이들 결정은 열 및 습기에 안정하고, 정제의 분해 특성 및 용해 특성의 면에서 또한 뛰어나다. 따라서, 이들 결정은 바람직하게는 약학 조성물로서 이용된다.
