The present invention relates to a mower comprising a chassis (1) bearing a harvesting mechanism (11) and a device (22) for relieving the load on the said harvesting mechanism. It is notable in that the load‑relieving device (22) consists of at least one torsion bar (23, 24) which is connected to a transverse beam (2) of the chassis (1) and which carries a lever (25) to one of the ends of which is articulated a linkage (27) which is directed towards the harvesting mechanism (11) and which is itself articulated to the said harvesting mechanism (11) or the suspension device (15) thereof.La présente invention se rapporte à une faucheuse comportant un châssis (1) portant au moins un mécanisme de récolte (11) et un dispositif dallégement (22) dudit mécanisme de récolte.
