The protection assembly comprises at least one reorientation member (32； 42； 52； 62) in the form of a weight being connectable with a medical device (10) and orienting the medical device (10) into a predefined orientation in the event the medical device (10) is subject to a free-fall by changing the centre of gravity of the device.
