PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to accurately updating information to the newest version without requiring time and efforts of a user.SOLUTION: In a processor 1 used in an endoscope system 10, a storage part 12 stores function information used for achieving a predetermined function in the endoscope system 10. A function information comparison part 15 performs comparison of at least two of first identification information for identifying a version of first function information stored in a storage part 43 in a scope, second identification information for identifying a version of second function information stored in a server 2, and third identification information for identifying a version of third function information stored in the storage part 12.
