The invention proposes an antibiotic polymethylmethacrylate bone cement thatis composedof methylmethacrylate, at least one polymethylmethacrylate or apolymethylmethacrylate-copolymer, at least one polymerisation initiator, suchas in radical initiator, at least onepolymerisation accelerator, and at least one radiopaquer, whereby thecomponents arepresent in a powdered component and a liquid monomer component or in twocomponentsthat are pasty at room temperature. The polymethylmethacrylate bone cementaccording tothe invention comprises the cyclical lipopeptide, daptomycin, apharmacologically tolerablesalt of daptomycin, a solvate and/or a hydrate containing daptomycin and atleast onecalcium salt, which preferably comprises at least two different releaseprofiles.
