PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope surely performing the towing and relaxing operation for a wire penetrating through an insertion portion without an increase in size of an operation portion using a moving member.SOLUTION: The endoscope includes: the insertion portion a wire 30 penetrated through the insertion portion a stopper 31 provided at the base end of the wire 30 and a cylindrical moving ring 20 having a thick part 21 for towing and relaxing the wire 30 and having a thin part 22. The moving ring 20 includes: a slit 50 having a L-shaped cross-section in the radial direction K, which is formed so that the thick part 21 for passing the wire 30 is penetrated along the insert direction S and the outer peripheral surface of the moving ring 20 has an opening and a notch part through which the stopper 31 passes, which is formed at the base end of the slit 50 to penetrate through the thin part 22 in the radial direction K on the outer peripheral surface 20g of the moving ring 20 and is communicating with the slit 50.
