PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and neurotransmitter qualification method capable of quantifying neurotransmitter with a high accuracy.
SOLUTION: A plurality of scans to collect magnetic resonance signals respectively from the brain of a subject SU and a plurality of phantoms are executed by MEGA PRESS method so that an echo time TE can be equal to each other. The neurotransmitter in the brain of the subject SU is quantified from a spectrum and reference spectrum obtained by executing the scans.
