The present invention relates to an application of a microporous structure as a support for soil-free cultivation of plants comprising the sowing, the propagation and / or the implantation of plants already rooted. Cette application est caractérisée en ce quil sagit dune céramique microporeuse à cellules ouvertes telle qu obtenue par :a) imprégnation de pâte fluide de céramique, de type barbotine, dans les micropores dun matériau polymère microporeux de forme.b) séchage jusquà évaporation de leau de la pâte ayant pénétré le matériau microporeux etc) frittage par cuisson de la pâte céramique.
